I made a mistake yesterday, and later on this morning, I’ll address an apology to the group I erred with. I was doing some advance recruiting of beta testers, and accidentally included in the address the Community-Music yahoo group I work with. And then one of the moderators approved the posting, so it went out to the whole group.

Oops.

But that might not have been such a bad thing, because we already have one additional beta tester from that blunder.

If you’re reading this, then you probably already know that we want to make LIDA as powerful and as USABLE as possible, and what better way to do this than to get help from a group of more than 1,000 community-band people, most of whom are either directors or librarians?

So my next task after this posting will be go craft a new email to the C-M group explaining the blunder, and telling them I was GOING to post there anyway, asking for volunteers, but was planning to wait until the beta was ready, hopefully in about two weeks.

Well. Off to that task.

Oh, and by the way, if you ARE a tester, and you would like to post an article here on our NEWS blog, just let me know. I’m sure “the public” would love to hear your own thoughts as well.
